Safe Families for Children

Safe Families for Children is a movement of compassion led by the Church, giving hope to families. It equips the faith community to work together to effectively care for families in their community, providing an extended network of support that helps stabilize and strengthen vulnerable families.

There are many ways to participate, including – hosting a child in your home for a short period of time, encouraging a parent who is struggling, providing childcare for a host family, giving to the SFFC ministry, or purchasing tangible resources for a child or family such as food, clothing, or school supplies.

Western Washington

Safe Families for Children is a national movement locally implemented in Western Washington by Olive Crest.

oliveCrest_logoSafe Families for Children (SFFC) of Western Washington chapter started in 2010 with the Safe Families for Children vision that Jesus calls us to love our neighbors and care for the vulnerable in our communities. Following our initial start in Pierce County, we have expanded to King and Snohomish Counties as well. In these areas, our goals are to empower the church, unify and strengthen families, build lasting relationships, and prevent children from going into the foster care system.
